PLAN OF SALVATION
When we communicate with other people, they have a choice— either they can respond to us and we can have a relationship, or they can reject us.

God communicates to us, and we have a choice— either we can accept what God communicates and respond to Him, or we can reject what God communicates and there can be no relationship with Him.

1. God the Father communicates holiness
(1 Peter 1:16) Because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
All have sinned
(Romans 3:9 ~10) What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one.”
All are guilty
(Romans 3:19) Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
All fall short of God’s standard
(Romans 3:23) For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

We have a choice—when we accept God’s communication of holiness, we agree that we are sinful and guilty before Him. If we reject God’s communication of holiness, we think that we are good enough in ourselves, and better than other people that we have seen.
2. God the Son communicates sacrifice – Isaiah 53:3~7, 12
Blood sacrifice necessary for forgiveness
(Hebrews 9:22) And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Blood of animals cannot take away sin
(Hebrews 10:4) For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
The Lord Jesus sacrificed Himself
(Hebrews 9:12) Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Christ was offered once to bear our sins
(Hebrews 9:28) So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
Christ offered one sacrifice for all sin forever
(Hebrews 10:10~12) By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.

We must exchange our death for Christ’s life
(Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We must exchange our sin for Christ’s holiness
(2 Corinthians 5:21) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
When we have the holiness of Christ, we measure up to God’s holiness
We have a choice—when we accept God’s communication of sacrifice, we agree that He died for us, and we exchange our death for His life. If we reject God’s sacrifice, we think that we are good enough in ourselves, and that we do not need the Lord to forgive our sin.
3. God the Holy Spirit communicates indwelling
(Romans 8:9) But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Holy Spirit lives in us & we become the temple of God
(1 Corinthians 3:16) Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
(1 Corinthians 6:19~20) Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
(2 Corinthians 6:16) And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
We have a choice—when we accept God’s communication of indwelling, we invite God to come into our lives and to make His home in us. The Holy Spirit takes His residence in our bodies and we become His temple. If we reject God’s indwelling, we remain empty throughout this life and we must remain alone throughout eternity.

If God is at home in us in this life, then the relationship we have with Him now will continue forever; however, if we reject God’s communication and a relationship with Him in this life, we must remain alone not only in this life but also forever.
(Revelation 3:20) Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and feast with him, and he with Me.
